If Moraine saved you something
Moraine is free, MIT-licensed, and written in spare time. There is no company behind it, no paid tier planned, and no feature held back for one. The whole thing is on GitHub and will stay there.
What a contribution actually does
Honestly? Nothing you would notice in the software. Moraine has no server costs to cover — the site and the download CDN run on infrastructure that exists anyway. So this isn't buying a feature or keeping the lights on. It's a signal that the thing is worth continuing, which for a spare-time project is the resource that actually runs out.

Rather not send money?
These help at least as much, and several of them help more:
- Report what broke. A backup tool only earns trust by surviving other people's edge cases. Use the in-app Bugs & Feedback button, or open an issue.
- Package it for your distribution. The recipes live in packaging/ and several channels are maintained by people who simply wanted it on their own system.
- Tell someone who still has no backups. Most people don't, and find out at the worst possible moment.
